This is a US-based remote position (PST hours preferred) position that will start as a 3 month engagement but could be extended.

As a Software Design Engineer in Test, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge automated tests for SDKs in C#, C++, and Python, directly impacting how users experience extended reality applications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile partnership and work with innovative technology at the forefront of the mixed reality space.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of an SDK that bridges the gap between a well-established operating system and the exciting world of mixed reality. You will be a key player in ensuring the quality and reliability of this groundbreaking technology.

Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated functional tests for C#, C++, and Python SDKs, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
  • Create automated test applications that utilize the SDK, pushing the boundaries of its capabilities and identifying potential issues.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product management teams to define test strategies and prioritize critical areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the refinement of test code and applications, driving continuous improvement in the SDK’s functionality and user experience.
  • Provide valuable feedback on SDK setup, documentation, and sample applications, ensuring a seamless developer experience for external users.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience developing automated tests for SDKs.
  • 8+ years of experience with C#, C++, and Python in a production environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows application development (Win32, WinUI3, WinForm, etc.).
  • Familiarity with mixed reality development.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $57 to $64 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
