As a Tier 3 Network Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless network operations across diverse global sites, including headquarters, offices, and distribution centers. What You’ll Do:
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network incidents, troubleshooting, and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime across global campus and distribution center environments.
- Implement network configuration changes, adhering to established standards and best practices.
- Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Manage and maintain the firewall infrastructure, implementing security policies and ensuring robust network segmentation.
- Manage IP addresses and DNS records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network connectivity and performance.
- Participate in project work within an Agile methodology.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Extensive expertise with Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst Switches, Nexus platforms, CLI skills, EIGRP, BGP, VRF-lite, and basic Cisco Wireless support).
- Proficiency with firewalls, including centralized management, policy deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Direct experience with IPAM platforms for IP address and DNS management.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management platforms for ticket management.
- Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with Python for network automation.
- Familiarity with automation capabilities.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $38.99 to $43.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
