Overview

Our Houston-based energy company is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create a comprehensive white paper for our upcoming Investor Day. This critical document will tell our company’s growth story to investors, industry analysts, and business media before our presentation.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WRITING WHITE PAPERS TARGETED TO INVESTORS

The Project: Take our extensive company data, board presentations, and business projections and turn them into a clear, compelling story that shows why we’re positioned for the fastest growth projections in the entire energy industry.

This white paper will be distributed to media and investors ahead of Investor Day to set expectations and generate interest in our company’s future.

Content Creation:

• Work with existing board presentations, business data, and growth plans to build a cohesive story
• Research industry trends and competitive landscape to support our market position
• Write clear sections covering our growth opportunities, market advantages, and business outlook
• Create an executive summary that captures the key points investors need to know

Collaboration:

• Partner with executives, finance team, and communications staff to gather insights
• Transform technical operational information into business-focused content
• Ensure all content meets regulatory requirements and company standards
• Build a narrative that connects what we do operationally to why it matters for business growth

What We’re Looking For

Writing Background:

• 7+ years technical writing experience, ideally with business communications
• Strong white paper portfolio showing ability to turn complex information into clear business stories
• Preferred Utility industry experience
• Regulated industry background including knowledge of required disclosures and compliance

Business Communication Skills:

• Experience with investor materials like annual reports, investor relations documents, business presentations, and company fact sheets
• Shareholder communications including formal company filings and investor updates
• Ability to write for business audiences including investors and industry analysts
• Experience working with senior leadership to extract key business insights
