While this position is 100% remote, we will only consider candidates who currently live in the United States.
In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:

- Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment. C2C is not permitted for this role.
- Be able to work on a W-2 basis. 1099 is not permitted for this role.

As a Staff Database Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data architectures and pipelines. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of data solutions within the organization. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis, contributing to informed decision-making and improved patient care.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures for large-scale data processing and analysis.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools and frameworks.
- Build and support high-performance, cloud-based systems for real-time and batch processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Interface with healthcare data formats, ensuring integration accuracy and compliance.
- Own operational excellence for data systems, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Utilize advanced programming and SQL skills to engineer robust data services.
- Contribute to architecture frameworks and documentation to guide team standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
Must-Haves:
- 7–10+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or database systems.
- Proven experience with SSIS and ADF.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in SQL, database systems, and modern data processing tools.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (.NET, Java, Python, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience with modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with data streaming and queuing technologies (Kafka, SNS, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and containerized deployments.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating external data sources.
- High-level understanding of big data design patterns.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $82.39 to $91.55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
