This is a fully remote role and working PST hours.
Sr Social Media Manager –
Looking for a Social Media Manager who’s ready to become the voice, face, and creative engine behind our brand online. This is not a background role. You will own our entire social media presence from top to bottom —strategy, content creation, calendar, trends, DMs, comments, growth, partnerships, and more. You’ll work side-by-side with our founder to bring her vision to life on social media, capturing and editing content, plus leading the social media team.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role for someone who lives and breathes social — and is
ready to help build a movement around a new category-defining wellness brand.
The most important aspects of this comprehensive social role are content creation, account management, and team leadership.
Key Platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook (and emerging platforms as we see fit)
Responsibilities:
Account & Project Management:
● Own the day-to-day execution of social media strategy across platforms.
● Manage content calendars, posting schedules, and campaign timelines with precision and
flexibility.
● Collaborate closely with the founder and cross-functional teams (design, ops, sales) to align
content with brand and business goals.
● Maintain strong time management skills in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Content Creation:
● Concept, capture, and edit high-quality social content (video, photo, text) optimized for each
platform — with a strong focus on short-form video.
● Create content featuring the founder
● Visit local stores regularly to gather authentic, in-the-field content and stay connected to our customer experience.
● Physically post content and monitor performance daily (no set-it-and-forget-it scheduling).
Community Management: (nice to have)
● Be the voice in our comments, DMs, and mentions (ours and of others) — warm, witty,
fast, and always on-brand.
● Actively handle inbound and outbound communication with followers, influencers, brand
partners, and beyond.
● Post content across channels daily.
Community Building: (nice to have)
● Build and nurture relationships with customers, creators, allies, and brand fans — you’ll
often be their main point of contact.
● Help identify, onboard, and collaborate with influencers, advocates, and creators who align
with the brand.
● Represent the brand with confidence and charisma in online content, live events, and social
Takeovers.
Team Leadership:
● Serve as the founder’s right hand on all things social — from strategy to execution.
● Bring leadership energy to the social team (even if it’s small), helping set creative direction,
inspire others, and push for bold ideas.
● Mentor and support junior collaborators, freelancers, or agency partners as needed.
Reporting & Insights
● Track, analyze, and report performance metrics across platforms — translating data into
actionable insights.
● Help refine strategy based on what’s working (and what’s not) in real-time.
Trendsensing
● Stay deeply plugged into internet culture, social trends, memes, and platform updates — and
know how to act on them fast.
● Proactively pitch ideas for trend-driven content, cultural moments, and community-first
campaigns.
Soft Skills:
● Social-Obsessed! Passion for social media and digital trends. Ability to think creatively and
develop innovative content strategies that align with user behavior and business objectives.
● Growth Mindset: Able to learn, grow, and pivot in a fast-moving startup.
● Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Leadership: You can inspire others to action, encouraging social participation.
● Project Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability
to multi-task and prioritize.
● Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
● Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $52 to $58 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
