This is a US-based remote position with a preference for PST hours. It will start as a 4 month engagement but can extend up to 18 months. There is potential for both domestic and international travel.

About the Role:
As the Chief of Staff, you will be the strategic advisor and operational partner to the Retail and Consumer Goods industry leader. You will empower them to focus on high-impact initiatives, driving clarity, alignment, and execution across a complex network of stakeholders. You will be the maestro orchestrating the rhythm of the business and amplifying strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the industry leader to define, track, and achieve strategic priorities, key objectives, and business outcomes across the Retail portfolio.
  • Business Operations: Own the rhythm of the business, managing QBRs, leadership offsites, executive reviews, and internal/external engagements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the key liaison between the industry leader and crucial stakeholders, including senior leadership, partners, and customers. Prepare briefing materials and ensure follow-through on commitments.
  • Communications & Narrative Building: Craft compelling internal and external communications that effectively convey the industry leader’s vision. Support thought leadership efforts, including speaking engagements and executive messaging.
  • Team Enablement: Foster team alignment and boost morale through transparent communication, recognition programs, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Special Projects: Spearhead and support high-priority initiatives such as scaling AI adoption, nurturing strategic partnerships, and orchestrating major industry events.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy, or Business Operations role.
  • 10+ years of experience in demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate across time zones and support high level executives.
  • 10+ years of experience with Powerpoint and able to quickly create and edit executive-level presentations
  • 10+ years of experience with Word/Excel and adept in documentation and data management for business operations
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available for domestic and international travel as needed

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales, partner ecosystems, or the retail industry.
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion in handling sensitive matters.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
