As a CG Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in bringing immersive video projects to life. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the creative process, from concept to completion, using your technical and artistic skills to create stunning visuals. This position requires a diverse skill set and the ability to seamlessly transition between various software packages and artistic tasks. You will be a key contributor to a dynamic team, collaborating with creatives and engineers to push the limits of what’s possible in immersive experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to a wide range of projects, from technical research and development to the creation of high-quality artistic visuals.
- Utilize a diverse range of software packages including C4D, Maya, Blender, Nuke, Realtime game engines, After Effects, Redshift, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Work on 3D projects specifically designed for stereoscopic display.
- Balance quality of work with project timelines and deadlines.
- Systematically problem-solve through technical challenges.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, including modeling, layout, material surfacing, animating, lighting, rendering, and compositing.
- Develop visually and emotionally engaging immersive experiences based on the fundamentals of animation and color theory.
- Maintain an organized work environment, following established procedures and contributing to the documentation of new processes.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in CG.
- Comprehensive understanding of diverse technical aspects of CG.
- Working knowledge of C4D, Maya, Blender, Nuke, Realtime game engines, After Effects, Redshift, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Experience working on 3D projects designed for stereoscopic exhibition.
- Proven ability to balance quality of work with scheduled timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Understanding of animation and color theory principles.
- Familiarity with project organization, file naming conventions, and directory structures.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for sharing knowledge.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Deadline render management software.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $61.79 to $68.66 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
