Our marketing agency client is looking to bring on a part time, remote, Graphic Designer to provide maternity leave coverage:
Start = July
Duration = 3 months with possible extension
This is a part time role with a 20 hours work week.
Working hours are as follows:
- Monday – Thursday, 5 hours per day
- If working remotely, 9:00 – 3:00 EST

Position Summary
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for using a variety of tools to design and execute great work to meet specific client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- With minimal supervision create impactful designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of best practices of layout and esthetic design concepts.
- Collaborate closely with others to get feedback to improve and evolve work.
- Determine size and arrangement of design materials.
- Provide timely, original creative content leveraging best practices in graphic design.
- Create visual representations that translate technical information and concepts that communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate customers.
- Use a moderate level of independent judgment and artistic creativity to move designs from concept development to final design and hard copy delivery.
- Execute superb team collaboration, workflow initiations and adherence to office and design policies and procedures.
- Proficient in front end web design.
- Perform necessary production work.
- Build assets and post on all social media outlets.
- Research new software and design concepts
- Stay abreast of technological advances in the industry in order to remain competitive.
- Meet all scheduled deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Art, or other related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design is preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Mac proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Excellent understanding of typography and solid foundation of design principles.
- Front end web design principals are required, HTML skills are not required but an understanding of code is a plus.
- Attention to detail and good multitasking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Team orientation, enthusiasm, flexibility.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36 to $40 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
