The Creative Producer: Experiential Activations Lead assists in multiplying peak brand activations for various event media platforms and channels that help drive Microsoft Brand Love. You will drive the development of visual breakthrough creative concepts, animations, exhibits, static graphics, and interactive experiences. You will collaborate with various event creatives and stakeholders to understand the project’s goals and ensure final quality deliveries.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide visual and design direction
• Help refine the Microsoft experience “fingerprint” to ensure that Microsoft events are clearly Microsoft.
• Establish workflows with agencies.
• Create briefs, walking decks, and presentations to effectively communicate the activation concepts to an internal audience and agency partners.
• Create concepts, mood boards, and storyboard activations.
• Help direct agency work in delivering on the activations.
• Provide artistic direction and technical direction as needed to other design and production resources
• Connect with stakeholders and other team members to clearly communicate activation concepts and progress on delivery.
• Attend review meetings as requested to present and discuss new material
• Help document and measure the effectiveness of the experiences.
• May need to work directly on some designs and deliverables.
• May assist other teams with feedback and/or design.
• May be responsible for an experience from concept to implementation.
Qualifications
• 5+ years managing design projects and a track record of leading successful design teams to the completion of event related content.
• Travel for event pre and show dates. Travel estimated to be 15%+ and could incl. weekends and international destinations.
• Frequent contact with all levels across the company including business groups, senior executives, field marketing groups, and external suppliers.
• Strong technical understanding, and preferably usage, of the Microsoft ecosystem and services.
• Self-motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision for successful completion of duties.
• Knowledge of Adobe design programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with creative team members, media leads and senior leadership.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, identify and solve for blockers, and know when to escalate to keep projects and process development moving forward.
• A strong understanding of creative teams and processes will be crucial and experience in a range of mediums will be key.
• Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships with executive communications teams.
• Must be nimble enough to negotiate with multiple stakeholders, be able to defend work, and also know when to accept direction.
