About Your Role:
As a Digital Product Designer, you’ll be a vital part of the design systems team, bridging the gap between design and development. You’ll be instrumental in creating and maintaining a robust design system that ensures consistency and quality across all digital products. This is your chance to leave a lasting impact on the user experience of millions, contributing to a design system that sets the standard for the entire industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the core design system architecture, including design tokens, UI guidelines, and component libraries for both web and mobile platforms.
- Identify and develop reusable UI patterns and create accessible, flexible components that cater to diverse user needs.
- Mentor and guide team members on design system best practices, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop strategies for collecting, refining, governing, and distributing shared patterns and components, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the organization.
- Create reusable components, utilities, and libraries within Figma, contributing to the development of coded components.
- Champion client-centric design principles and advocate for a unified user experience across all platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expert advice and guidance on design system implementation.
- Share insights and thought leadership through presentations, workshops, and other communication channels.
- Facilitate design critiques focused on system-level design, ensuring inclusivity and adherence to best practices.
Must-Haves:
- BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Systems Design/Human Factors Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience designing and developing user interfaces across multiple platforms.
- Proven ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, effectively communicating benefits and risks associated with design decisions.
- Strong expertise with Figma.
- Experience designing user interfaces for native mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
- Experience creating or contributing to a design system.
Nice-to-Haves:
- MA/MS degree or certification in a relevant design or technology field.
- Experience working within a large organization and an agile environment.
- Experience in mobile development (iOS or Android).
- Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with UI tools and frameworks (Sass, Tailwind, React, Angular).
- Knowledge of software services/APIs.
