As a Procurement Specialist, you will be instrumental in optimizing the procurement process. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing orders, and ensuring quality assurance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the bottom line and work with a dynamic team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Selection and Evaluation: Assess potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and reputation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and prices with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Order Processing: Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
  • Contract Administration: Create, review, and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance and legal validity.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain procurement reports and records.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in negotiating and purchasing.
  • Basic knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply principles of financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $23.95 to $31.17 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
