Sr. UX Designer - Documentation

Overview

**This is a remote role open to authorized, W2 talent who are located within the Eastern Timezone and able to flex to collaborate with colleagues in Europe**

Partnering with Aquent, you’ll be at the forefront of creating and implementing a user-focused documentation strategy for a dynamic, evolving design system. Your expertise will empower numerous product brand websites and go-to-market strategies, directly impacting the user experience for a wide range of products.

As a UX Design System Documentation expert, you will be instrumental in designing and developing resources that empower users to effectively leverage the design system. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of design within a renowned organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Spearhead the discovery and design process for the design system documentation strategy.
• Lead the design and creation of documentation assets, including a comprehensive documentation site and instructional materials.
• Analyze the existing design system and brand experiences to identify documentation needs and opportunities for standardization and simplification.
• Ensure alignment with existing and evolving design system standards, including global parent design system guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership to define, prioritize, and guide the documentation strategy and its implementation.
• Contribute to piloting end-to-end design system workflows, continuously evolving and maintaining documentation to meet user needs.

Must-Haves:

• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing and developing documentation for design systems.
• Expertise in Figma, including libraries, components, variable modes, tokens, and auto-layout.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $85 to $95 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
