Join a dynamic team at a leading financial services firm as a Software Developer specializing in cloud-based applications. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on web services and CloudRun. Your expertise will directly impact the firm’s ability to deliver innovative financial solutions.
As a key contributor, you’ll collaborate with architects and fellow engineers to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of GCP technologies, Java, and web service development to drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services using GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, VPC, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL).
- Collaborate with architects and team members to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.
- Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration for GCP environments.
- Spearhead the deployment process in GCP, managing IAM roles and ensuring proper access control.
- Contribute to conversational AI platform development leveraging Google Cloud services, integrating with Cloud and On-Premise APIs and other AI services.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven conversational applications, participating in team meetings, planning sessions, and code reviews.
- Ensure high availability, optimal performance, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure. Resolve issues related to the GCP stack and deploy improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java and web service development.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in services like Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, VPC, gRPC, Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL (Cloud SQL), and BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation and GCP IAM for access control.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, including microservices and containerization.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in CloudRun.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, data analysis, and integration with databases like PostgreSQL.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.83 to $50.93 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
