Senior Associate Attorney Position
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Senior Associate Attorney to lead our client’s Indiana foreclosure practice. This is a unique opportunity to take on significant responsibility, manage a dedicated team, and play a pivotal role in the firm’s growth in the Indianapolis metro area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the Senior Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for all aspects of Indiana foreclosure matters, from initial preparation to resolution. Your duties will include:

Preparing, reviewing, and approving foreclosure-related pleadings.

Handling all facets of foreclosure matters, including complex contested foreclosures.

Actively participating in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings.

Conducting regular client meetings and providing timely updates.

Managing staff and the Indianapolis office, ensuring efficient operations.

Identifying and pursuing opportunities for client development to expand the firm’s presence in Indiana.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:

Juris Doctorate (J.D.)

Active membership in good standing with the State of Indiana Bar.

A minimum of 8 years of work experience exclusively handling Indiana foreclosures.

Proven ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all clients via client systems, email, and phone.

Exceptional client service skills.

A proactive approach to problem-solving, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Conscientious with respect to work completion, meeting deadlines, time management, and attendance.

Analytical and detail-oriented, with the capacity to work at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.

This position is based on-site/hybrid in the Indianapolis metro area.
Non-Negotiable Requirements for this Position:
For this role, we have several absolute requirements that candidates must meet:

Active Indiana Bar Membership: You must be a member in good standing with the State of Indiana Bar. This is a fundamental requirement for practicing law and representing clients in Indiana foreclosure matters.

Extensive Indiana Foreclosure Experience: A minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience handling Indiana foreclosures is essential. This role demands advanced knowledge and the ability to independently manage complex foreclosure proceedings, including contested matters.

Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are critical, especially for client interactions and legal documentation. Clear and professional communication is paramount for superior client service and effective courtroom appearances.

Ability to Manage and Prioritize a Heavy Caseload: You must demonstrate a proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of cases. This requires strong time management, organizational skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.

Management or Leadership Experience: Given the responsibilities of staff and office management, prior experience leading a legal team or managing an office would enable you to hit the ground running.

Familiarity with Client Systems or Case Management Software: Experience with legal technology platforms or client-specific systems (e.g., Black Knight, Caseware) would help streamline workflow and communication.
