As our Temporary HRIS Analyst, you are responsible for exploring, and enabling system functionality, building foundation for meaningful data insights, transforming report delivery by enabling use of dashboard and data visualization, becoming subject matter expert for HRIS systems, data integrity, testing of system changes, analyzing processes and workflows to support continuous improvement, elevating end user experience and customer satisfaction within HRIS and system infrastructure.

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary HRIS and Power BI Support Specialist to assist our HR team with data cleanup, system support, and reporting initiatives. This role will be 80% focused on HRIS responsibilities and data cleanup projects, including supporting onboarding, I-9 compliance, and writing SOPs. The remaining 20% of the role will involve updating and maintaining the HR Power BI dashboard on a quarterly basis. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT, HR, and other business partners, while ensuring the smooth operation of HR systems and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS and Data Cleanup Projects (80%):

  • Provide HRIS support (Paycom) regarding system issues, technical problems, and data cleanup projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HRIS issues and defects with exceptional customer service.
  • Actively participate in the design, planning, implementation, and support of business process configuration, security, and administration within the HRIS.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR partners on system enhancements, process improvements, and security controls.
  • Support the I-9 process, onboarding, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HR processes and systems.
  • Manage the testing, documentation, and auditing of all HR-related processes in the HR information system.
  • Maintain and audit security roles in compliance with internal policies.
  • Support the team in providing access to data and tools necessary for creating and maintaining HRIS ad hoc reports and routine reporting.
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and audits, providing analysis and data as needed.

Power BI Dashboard & Reporting (20%):

  • Maintain and improve Power BI dashboard and its capabilities, ensuring timely updates to the HR dashboard on a quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with HR and other business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Migrate internal operational reporting to Power BI, creating reports, data visualizations, and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Provide ad hoc HR analysis and support through Power BI reporting.
  • Advanced Power BI skills: Ability to build and publish interactive dashboards using DAX, measures, and drill-throughs filters.
  • Strong SQL proficiency: Experience writing complex queries to join, filter, and aggregate large HR datasets from platforms like Paycom

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in employee events, surveys, and other HR initiatives as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in HR, IT, or Computer Science.
  • Technical proficiency and capability to troubleshoot and learn new systems is essential.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, including experience in HRIS support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and knowledge in an HRIS system (i.e. Paycom, Workday experience preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data visualization, including 2 years of recent experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take on additional HR responsibilities, including HRIS data entry and being a point of contact within HR.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT and HR teams.
  • Must be results-driven and committed to meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), goals, and deadlines.
