As a Database Administrator Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data submissions, directly impacting patient care and regulatory compliance. Your expertise in data management and SAS programming will be essential to the success of this team.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your SAS programming skills and data management experience to contribute to a critical aspect of healthcare data processing. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submissions of risk adjustment data to the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS). This role offers a unique blend of technical challenge and direct impact on healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize SAS to process, edit, and format data for submission to CMS, ensuring compliance with all guidelines.
- Create and maintain datasets, perform data retrieval, validation, and analysis.
- Meticulously document audit trails and perform reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with vendors, providers, and internal teams to manage workflow and meet project commitments.
- Develop data extract processes to support business application needs and external data requests.
- Participate in database problem resolution and support, ensuring business service levels are met.
- Implement databases for testing and production environments.
- Contribute to the logical data modeling process, translating business requirements into effective database designs.
- Monitor project status, identify potential issues, and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- SAS Base Certification or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience in SAS Base application.
- Experience with data management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in data retrieval, comparison, and formatting using SAS.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes.
- 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Prior experience in healthcare data management.
- Familiarity with CMS data submission guidelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $24 to $29 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
