As a Linux System Administrator specializing in Perforce, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the core infrastructure that fuels our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise will empower our development teams to work seamlessly and efficiently, directly impacting the quality and speed of our releases.

Ready to make a real difference? In this exciting role, you will be the go-to expert for all things Linux and Perforce. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Ubuntu Linux systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our Perforce (Helix Core) version control and Swarm code review systems. This includes user management, service configuration, replication, backups, disaster recovery, and upgrades. You’ll also leverage your Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, primarily with Terraform, to design, implement, and manage our evolving infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux systems in production and development environments.
  • Administer and manage Perforce (Helix Core) version control, Swarm code review systems.
  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and security of systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize Perforce performance.
  • Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and system architectures.

Must-Haves:

 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration.
  • 3+ years of Perforce (Helix Core) administration experience.
  • Proficiency with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python.
  • Experience working in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Perforce certification or relevant training.
  • Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, DNS, NFS, and related Linux services.
  • Experience integrating Perforce with build systems or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.

 

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $38/hr – $43/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
