Position Overview
The Plant Manager will lead and oversee daily operations at one of our production facilities, working in both office and plant settings. The role involves occasional travel to other sites and external engagements with customers, vendors, and local stakeholders. This position demands a hands-on leader with a sense of urgency, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct leadership to department managers to ensure efficient plant operations.
Achieve safe, sustainable production while maintaining high standards for quality and cost efficiency.
Develop, oversee, and ensure compliance with the plant’s operating and capital budgets.
Lead and manage the completion of major capital improvement projects.
Contribute to strategic planning, including short- and long-term operational goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational excellence.
Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among salaried and hourly team members.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Master’s degree in Business or a related field is a plus.
8-10 years of relevant Plant Experience
Must have 5+ years of Plant Management experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial (cement, clay, or similar industry experience). Mining experience is required.
Strong knowledge of industrial management and mineral processing methods.
Proven ability to resolve personnel and operational issues, including training, performance management, and team development.
Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and Maintenance Excellence practices.
Financial acumen, including budget oversight and cost analysis.
Familiarity with mineral processing equipment and systems preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve complex operational challenges with innovative solutions.
Work Environment
The Plant Manager will split time between office and industrial settings, with occasional travel and availability required for urgent operational issues. Stress levels can vary based on operational demands.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $165,00 to $175,000 Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
