You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and QA, ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency. Your leadership will be essential in navigating complex dependencies, mitigating risks, and ultimately delivering exceptional experiences to end-users.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of application releases, from planning and scheduling to execution and post-release monitoring.
- Drive the release process, defining deployment plans, identifying dependencies, and establishing clear timelines.
- Collaborate with CI/CD engineers and development teams to enhance deployment automation, ensuring smooth and efficient releases.
- Champion quality by coordinating business certifications, QA sign-offs, and governance approvals.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the production environment, maintaining high availability and stability.
- Continuously improve release management processes, documenting best practices and driving efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing timely updates and ensuring transparency throughout the release cycle.
Must-Haves:
- 3-5 years of experience in an IT enterprise software environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing releases for complex and critical applications.
- Proven ability to define deployment plans, identify dependencies, and establish release timelines.
- Hands-on experience with change management tools.
- Solid understanding of DevOps processes and deployments.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with CI/CD tools in a cloud environment (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with various project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Clarity).
- Knowledge of advanced release strategies (e.g., blue/green deployments, auto-tagging).
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $54.83 to $60.93 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
