Our client migrated to GA4 from Google 360 in 2024. They aim to fully utilize the data GA4 provides to understand audience behavior and identify areas for improvement. For this reason, our client seeks a digital analyst contractor with GA4 and Looker Studio experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with content-rich web properties that serve the public. Familiarity with the education space is preferred. The analyst’s work will include, but is not limited to:

Inspecting the GA4 installation for our client’s web properties to ensure that tagging, data storage, and event tracking (such as downloads) meet their needs and take full advantage of GA4’s capabilities.

Collaborating with staff to set up, refine, and streamline existing Looker Studio reports so that they can access and understand data and insights about their web properties. This includes identifying the most used resources, popular search terms, engagement quality (e.g., dwell time), and more.

Establishing baseline behavior and aberration tracking so that staff and leadership are alerted when audience behavior changes and can investigate the causes.

Developing measurement strategies and aligning analytics implementations to enable effective reporting on defined metrics and goals.

Based on insights, making recommendations for web enhancements, reports, additional tracking, and more.
Criteria:
The consultant will work remotely and use tools such as Trello, Slack, remote meetings via video (GoogleMeet, Zoom), and GoogleSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) for effective communication throughout the project. The consultant should be collaborative, self-directed, and possess excellent communication and facilitation skills. They will have experience collaborating with stakeholders who use online analytics to understand offline audiences’ needs and how to meet them where they are.
The candidate must have:

5+ years of experience working with analytics solutions with a focus on Google Analytics.

3+ years of experience configuring Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, with expertise in visualization tools such as Looker Studio and Tableau.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent facilitation skills.

Ability to consult with non-technical stakeholders and translate technical concepts into understandable language.
Preferred experience:

Consumer or education research.

Experience developing or contributing to enterprise data strategy and/or data governance initiatives.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $36/hr to $46/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
