Join a leading global innovator as a key liaison within their News Partnerships team. You will be a vital connector between the company and the vibrant news ecosystem, fostering collaborations, driving impactful programs, and shaping the future of news partnerships. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how a global company interacts with the news industry, contributing to a more informed and connected world.

As a News Partner Manager, you will be the voice of news partners, advocating for their needs while aligning them with company objectives. You’ll manage relationships with key players in the Canadian and US news landscapes, providing support for new and existing products and initiatives. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping partnership strategies, ensuring mutual growth and success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key partners, including publishers, associations, and key opinion formers, within the Canadian and US news ecosystem.
  • Provide go-to-market support on products and shape understanding around the company’s approach to news partnerships.
  • Plan and execute programs, trainings, and partnerships, collaborating with internal teams across communications, marketing, programming, government affairs, and public policy.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of strategies for engaging with local news publishers.
  • Support business development by negotiating and executing licensing agreements and contracts with select partners.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a technical, quantitative/business-oriented field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in News Publishing, Strategy Consulting, Business Development, Media or Digital Strategy, or Corporate Strategy Leadership.
  • Proven experience in partner management, cross-functional collaboration, and leading cross-functional operational initiatives.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience leading complex strategic and operational projects.
  • Exposure to the technology and/or news media sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale effectively across a large/distributed organization.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with sales, partnerships, and/or business development.
  • Experience navigating issues related to government and public policy.
