**Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada on a T4 basis and local to Toronto, ON to be able to work on-site 2 days/week at the client location. Remote candidates will not be considered.**
We are seeking a UX Evaluative Researcher to join our large, well-known B2C client. In this short-term Consultant role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experiences of a renowned retail company. By driving user-centered design through insightful research, you’ll directly impact how customers interact with cutting-edge products and services, ultimately enhancing their satisfaction and loyalty. You’ll support a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional user experiences and contribute to the evolution of a leading brand. Your role will be to support a variety of projects and team members to increase teammate bandwidth and manage quick-turn projects.
In this role, you will conduct mixed-method research to gather crucial insights into user behavior and preferences, informing the design and optimization of digital products. You’ll collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and other agile team members to ensure a user-centered approach throughout the product development lifecycle. As part of a busy and collaborative research team, you will work closely with others to share information and communicate details to ensure seamless project delivery.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct, synthesize, and report on qualitative research studies, including unmoderated interviews, surveys, tree testing, and customer feedback analysis.
- Leverage lean UX research methodologies and processes within an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute user tests, surveys, competitive benchmarking, and other research activities.
- Present customer insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and digital product teams.
- Define criteria for prototyping designs to effectively capture customer feedback.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with product managers, designers, and other key stakeholders.
- Enhance research processes through the integration of optimization tools.
- Incorporate mixed-method research to strengthen customer insights and product recommendations.
- Mentor other Evaluative UX Researchers on team methods and processes.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including surveys, interviews, field studies, and analytics.
- 2+ years of evaluative mixed-method UX Research experience for both web and apps.
- Portfolio of case studies of the User Research projects you have worked on.
- Proficiency with UX research tools such as UserTesting.com, Medallia, Baymard, or similar platforms.
- Strong ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of the value of research and its impact on business drivers.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, human-computer interaction, sociology, or a UX-related field.
