Overview:
As a UX Researcher 2 within the Data Cloud Studio, you will collaborate with senior team members to become an expert in the motivations, workflows, and habits of data professionals. This expertise will be instrumental in shaping the strategy, design, and growth of various products and services within the cloud data suite. Utilizing a multi-methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative methods with big data analysis, you will identify emerging patterns, uncover user insights, and contribute to the development of new product/service opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a mix of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including ethnographic explorations, usability studies, heuristic evaluations, interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, user journey maps, and benchmarks.
- Analyze research data quickly and effectively, presenting findings clearly and concisely to influence product design and direction.
- Partner with product management and design teams to understand stakeholder challenges and align research efforts with organizational priorities.
- Contribute to the development of new product/service opportunities by identifying emerging patterns and uncovering user insights.
- Design and execute research programs that meet organizational needs and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data to inform product strategy.
- Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with various professionals.
- Develop and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys and questionnaires.
- Analyze competitor data, including prices, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communication programs.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- PhD degree
- 3+ years of experience conducting UX research in technical domains.
- 3+ years of experience in the data domain/data science.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong research skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions.
- Proven storytelling and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience conducting research globally.
- Knowledge of customer privacy policies and tools.
- Experience working with data governance or data catalog products.
- Passion for learning new technologies.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48.04 to $53.38 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
