Overview:
Lead the research, development, and analysis of new product designs and patterns. You will immerse yourself in market trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies to create innovative surface solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
Responsibilities:

Research and analyze market and design trends through various channels, including trade shows, trend forecasting services, and direct customer interaction.
Lead the research and development of colors, materials, formulations, and processes for new surface products.
Conduct rigorous lab and mass production tests to ensure product quality and performance.
Oversee new product selection and prepare them for successful market launch.
Introduce new products and develop customized colors to meet specific customer needs.
Perform comprehensive competitor analysis to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with internal and external design experts to develop innovative design strategies and concepts.
Present design and trend proposals to customers at internal and external events.
Manage outsourced designs, effectively communicating with suppliers and vendors, and reviewing and evaluating samples and color matching.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in textile, graphic, interior, industrial design, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in solid surface and quartz design.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Strong knowledge of design-related software programs.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Experience with innovative production technologies.
