*This role is remote but you must reside within a commutable distance of Culver City, CA; Cupertino, CA; or Austin, TX*
You will be joining the Growth Marketing team that focuses on supporting list pull campaigns for services within the business. Your role will be to optimize, support, and create the production audience lists for email and push notifications campaigns. You will do this by working with the CLM Strategy, Operations, and Email Producers to understand the goal of the campaigns and translating those business requirements into complex SQL queries to build target audience lists, dashboards, and optimizing attributes for use in automation.
TOP SKILLS:
- 5-7 years of experience in a data analyst role – marketing domain required (i.e., analyzing e-mail marketing, digital campaign analysis, logistics analysis, operations analysis etc.) – This person must come from an analytical background
- Experience working with large data sets (i.e., pulling lists over 1 billion records on a regular basis).
- High proficiency with databases and data retrieval, ANSI SQL (Trino/Snowflake)
- Strong SQL skills (must be able to demonstrate the following expertise in an interview)
- Ability to convert queries in automated scripts using SQL
- Ability to write queries off of business requirements (example query concepts: want to look at the most popular artist per user – how would you create this query)
- Performance tuning – when a data set is too big you have to simplify it to optimize performance.
- Working knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages
- Experience working with/creating/updating procedures for use in automation
- Creation of server-side Tableau dashboards and setting up requisite data sources
- Knowledge of statistical principles and the underlying data assumptions on which they rely
- Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following statistical models/techniques: recommendation systems, neural networks, deep learning, optimization and simulation, churn models, logistic regression, linear regression, forecasting, A/B testing, clustering and segmentation, or others
- Extremely strong with documentation
SOFT SKILLS:
- Excellent written, oral and general communication skills
- The ability to fully digest and run requirement gathering meetings with business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and able to articulate roadblocks
- Someone who is very process-oriented
- Must communicate both upstream and downstream
- Concise and thoughtful communicator
- Ability to adapt to changes, self-driven and multitasking in very fast paced environment are key success factors for the right candidate.
PLUS SKILLS:
- UNIX Shell Scripting
- Experience with Python, R, SAS, or other statistical programming languages
- Experience with Trino/Snowflake
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.40 to $66 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
