Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Experence: 

• 4+ years of experience supporting applications, incident handling, system administration, in distributed environments (Linux, Windows, SQL, Postgres, MQ) 
• 3+ years of experience supporting applications on both private cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) 
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Experience with transitioning to Kubernetes & containerizing services. 
• 3+ years of experience building application dashboards for proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts determination of the issues. 
• Experience in experience in writing automation scripts and other methods to reduce toil. 
• Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Python, Terraform, Ansible, Java Spring Boot, Shell Scripting, .Net, etc.) 
• Actively owning production level incidents till resolution 
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog and Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk or similar tools. 
• Ability to work occasional on call Shift work. 

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience researching and building dashboards for Grafana using data points and SLO metrics. 
• Experience with Google Cloud Anthos and Kubernetes 
• Strong understanding & experience of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) 
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/CD) 
• Understanding of High Availability Enterprise systems and leveraging tools to automate proactively and eventually predictive availability solutions. 
• Receptive, approachable with the ability to positively interact with business partners, technology teams, offshore, and professional services. 
• Working Knowledge of one or more of Message Brokers such as Solace, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $51.59 to $57.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
