About the Position:

We’re seeking a talented and enthusiastic Videographer to join our team temporarily while our main Videographer is on paternity leave. You’ll play a key role in capturing and creating compelling video content for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Social media content: Short, engaging videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Event coverage: Filming campus events, athletic competitions, and other activities.
  • Marketing initiatives: Creating videos for promotional campaigns, website content, and other marketing materials.

You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing team, including the Marketing Manager and a Video Editing Intern, to ensure all content aligns with our brand and messaging. The ideal candidate is adaptable, creative, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality video footage for various projects using professional cameras and audio equipment.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and storyboards.
  • Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Edit video footage using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to create polished and engaging final products.
  • Maintain a consistent and engaging video style that aligns with the organization’s brand.
  • Engage with students, faculty, and staff in a friendly and professional manner during filming.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Videographer, with a portfolio showcasing a variety of video styles (journalistic, social media, event coverage, etc.)
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Strong understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, sound, and composition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be located within driving distance of Northfield, VT, or willing to travel to the location.
  • A positive and engaging personality with a passion for storytelling.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with drone operation.
  • Background in film production or a related field.
  • Familiarity with different video formats and platforms.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45-50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
