The main function of the UX Researcher is to conduct quantitative research on customers’ needs, preferences, and behaviors related to a product or service. A typical UX researcher is responsible for conducting surveys, segmentation studies, and product analytics reviews, documenting the output, and analyzing the data to generate insights and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and conducting quantitative research studies, including surveys, segmentation studies, A/B tests and product analytics reviews.
  • Document the output of the interviews in well-organized and detailed notes.
  • Analyze the quantitative data to identify patterns, themes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate the findings and recommendations to engineers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the research insights are incorporated into the product development process.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer empathy.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Expertise in quantitative research methods, such as designing and analyzing surveys, segmentation studies, A/B tests and product analytics using inferential statistics.
  • Proficiency in quantitative data analysis using inferential statistics (e.g. t-tests, ANOVA, factor analysis, regression analysis) to identify trends, patterns and user behaviors.
  • Experience in creating compelling presentations and reports using software tools.
  • Previous experience with quantitative data analysis tool.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or equivalent training required.
  • 5-7 years of experience working as a UX Researcher on consumer products required.
