Our large financial services client is looking for a Content Designer to join their Digital Design team. In this critical Consultant role, you will build intuitive, inclusive, and meaningful content and UX copy alongside visual and interaction designers and the product and marketing teams. As a core member of the design team, we are looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on doer who always takes a human-centric approach to their work.
You will bring experience writing copy for both transactional and promotional experiences for users, with a passion for making complex, ‘legalese’ content intuitive and user-friendly. You will thoughtfully use the client’s established Tone of Voice to ensure consistent, customer-centric copy is expressed throughout digital channels.
What You Will Do
- Co-create strategies and artifacts (e.g. UX writing standards) with the Content Design Lead to highlight the use of content to ensure an engaging and consistent user experience across all channels
- Craft clear, succinct, and human-centric UX copy that balances business goals and user needs, elevating the brand wherever possible
- Write short and long-form copy for a variety of digital experiences, including online applications, online broker portals, website content, and emails
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including (but not limited to) Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, and Regulatory teams, to ensure that digital copy satisfies both legal and regulatory responsibilities
- Apply the principles of Accessibility and Inclusive Design in content creation
- Create and/or support needs for French translation
- Work with Design Researchers on using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform content and UX copy decisions
- Collaborate with product designers to shape other non-textual content such as interaction patterns, iconography, information graphics, and imagery
- Work within an agile operating model to provide content at the right touch points that align to squad sprint cycles
What You Need to Succeed
Must have:
- 3-5 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a similar role
- A portfolio that showcases your work, with an emphasis on digital experiences
- Fluency in English
- Strong understanding of how to apply copy and content design to the customer lifecycle (awareness, consideration, conversion, use, retention, advocacy)
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry, with legal teams, or subject matter with complex terms and requirements
- Demonstrated expertise working with Figma
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
- Experience contributing to the launch of digital experiences within an agile environment
- Fluency in French
