Are you ready to lead the transformation of how customers shop online at a “People-Led, Tech-Powered Omnichannel Retailer”? We are looking for an innovative leader to join our team as Senior Director of Site Merchandising for Hardlines. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the customer’s digital experience, driving site strategy, visual merchandising, content development, and campaign execution to create a seamless, engaging, and innovative shopping journey.
What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Director of Site Merchandising for Hardlines, you will be responsible for leading the overall strategy and execution for your categories, focusing on customer experience, site functionality, and digital innovation. You will be the key driver of impact, ensuring continuous improvement and identifying new opportunities to deliver an exceptional, frictionless digital experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a comprehensive site strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances the customer experience, including visual merchandising, navigation, search, and product onboarding.
- Utilize customer insights to craft a compelling online story that connects with shoppers and enhances their journey through the site.
- Foster a culture of innovation by adopting new technologies, driving digital transformation, and leading process improvements to ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor site health and performance through robust analytics, delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders and driving the strategic direction of the platform.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance workflows, and scale best practices for the business.
- Build and nurture a top-tier, high-performing team by recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse talent, while fostering a culture of mentorship, teamwork, and growth.

- Creating an unparalleled digital shopping experience – You’ll lead the strategy for your categories, using customer insights to design a cohesive and seamless online journey.
- Storytelling through the site – You’ll leverage key merchandising functionalities such as taxonomy, navigation, and search to tell a cohesive story that resonates with customers and drives conversion.
- Leading digital innovation – You’ll champion digital transformation and adoption of new technologies, while cultivating a culture of curiosity, intelligent risk-taking, and resilience.
- Monitoring and optimizing site performance – You’ll track key metrics and develop dashboards to monitor site health, making strategic recommendations to continually improve site performance.
- Developing a high-performing team – You’ll implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent, fostering diversity and inclusion while preparing future leaders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Merchandising/ Retail experience in durable consumable goods.
- Ecommerce and Digital experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising, site merchandising, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in business or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience managing teams, with a focus on leadership in an e-commerce environment.
- Strong customer obsession with a passion for designing and optimizing the right site experience.
- Proven experience managing a P&L.
- Knowledge of unpaid and paid digital marketing channels (SEO, CRM, Affiliates).
- Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to set clear objectives and performance measures for teams.
- Experience selecting and developing future leaders, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work cross-functionally and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Assertive, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
