Our education technology client is looking for a Project Manager and Coordinator for their web projects. This person will be responsible for overseeing and directing multiple web projects at a time and ensuring that these projects meet or exceed marketing and business requirements and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed project plans for small to large web projects and marketing communications and for US, Europe and Asia markets.
• Manage the development and execution of projects that vary widely both in scope and cross-functional team members.
• Take ownership for the overall project and navigate through issues while cultivating positive relationships with all teams involved.
• Create clear, specific and complete project status updates on a regular basis.
• Partner with marketing managers to execute market communication and web project priorities across all regions
• Execute projects within the mutually agreed upon time frame with timely and cohesive communications with internal and external teams throughout project life cycle.
• Evaluate project requirements and required resources and collaborate with the requestors to identify the most efficient implementation that meets the business and marketing requirements.
• Track project progress and align resources to work towards the project milestones and plan.
• Identify efficiencies and process improvements.
• Implement minor content updates using the Content Management System
• Manage translation process for marketing communication and web projects for Europe and Asia markets as necessary.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and, when needed, report and escalate to management.
• Leverage strong and strategic relationships within multiple functions, including worldwide marketing programs, creative directors, copywriters, web developers, other project managers and marketing managers.
• Manage and maximize utilization of project management tools, while providing support to the marketing team in the tools.
• Facilitate team meetings and document and communicate notes and action items.
• Follow the scope of an online project that goes from the proposal stage, to determining functionality and technical requirements, through the development, execution and delivery of the web product.
• Work to find and solve any problems with the function of a web project by implementing testing processes and working with web team in order to address any issues.
• Coordinate team members by helping implement effective training procedures, appropriate task assignments, and top quality control processes in order to execute on the project plan.
• Work closely with stakeholders throughout the design, implementation, and test phase.
• Manage testing plan as well as perform testing and quality assurance during the project phases.
• Review output across all levels and provide feedback to all teammates.
• Measure and report on progress.
• Help document, communicate and ensure compliance with team processes and best practices.
• Help coordinate daily web team scrums and project and task prioritization.
Recommended Experience:
• 3 -5 years in project management, specifically related to web development projects.
• Understands business and technical objectives of web projects, and demonstrates knowledge of how a website works and is built by native HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Extensive knowledge of the development and design of online sites, as well as the advancements and trends in web design and development.
• Ability to convey design and technical information to stakeholders in clear and simple terms.
• Exceptional ability to contribute creativity and innovation to web projects.
• Superb leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications to share project status, highlight risks, and influence
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Project management for web and marketing communications projects including, but not limited to, online website projects and digital marketing assets. Experience with multimedia projects, photography, print literature, advertisements, packaging, tradeshow, retail point-of-purchase also a plus.
• Planning and coordinating multifunctional teams.
• Working with ambiguous and fluid inputs
• Exposure to education and/or technology markets.
• Teaming, including cross-functional and cross-organizational teams where influence, rather than control, is required to achieve goals.
• Conflict resolution, negotiation and relationship building
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite software
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized self-starter – someone who can take initiative, develop new ideas, think critically to improve efficiencies, etc.
How Role Will Be Measured:
• Delivering role responsibilities.
• Delivering on against business requirements, schedules and budgets
• Building and maintaining successful and productive relationships within web team/marketing communications and other functional groups
Not Required but a Plus:
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, etc.
• Project Management Certification
• Lythos (Inmotion) Experience
• Enterprise level Content Management Systems (CMS) experience, Sitecore preferred
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $30/hr to $35/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
