Our client follows a simple but vital premise in the UX group: “Focus on the user and all else will follow.” They are passionately interested in their users and strive to learn everything they can about their goals and needs, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences they create. Their UX team is a critical driving force behind gathering these insights and then using them to inspire and inform design and strategy. Our client is a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers, and copywriters who collaborate closely with each other and with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative, usable, great-looking products that people love to use.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Our clients Chat platform is the place for teams to connect, collaborate, and create at Workspace. Chat is an integral part of our clients Workspace offering and they are exploring how to more deeply integrate their product offering and accelerate productivity and communication with generative AI.

Overall Responsibilities:
As a UX Researcher, you’ll have the opportunity to support research activities in understanding users’ communication needs and how to best improve their experiences with Chat. Our client is looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, is diligent, detail-oriented, and can work independently within a team structure.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research with Chat customers from large enterprises, small businesses, and internally
  • Synthesizing learnings into easily digested and actionable reports
  • Collaborating with other UXRs as well as PM, UXD, and Engineering counterparts

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction or similar field emphasizing human performance and behavior
  • 3-5 years of experience in user experience research or related field
  • Experience and comfort with running moderated and unmoderated studies
  • Experience in research for user experience design for product development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in qualitative user research & analysis methods.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of advanced statistics and expertise in large-scale survey analysis
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, small businesses, or knowledge workers
  • Visual communications skills for research (e.g., graphs, charts and slides layout)
  • Able to prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing timelines

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55 to $60 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
