Project Overview:

  • UXR would dedicate effort towards team questions around our client’s Store Retail expansion into new markets for 25/26, as well as refining our client’s carrier plan structure.
  • Usability testing of concepts for the Architecture Program: Refine new navigation patterns proposed by using CUJ task analysis (aka ask customers to use the navigation to complete our top 5 most critical activities to pressure test our new site structure).
  • Quant Survey on Perceptions of Shipping Dates: Understand how shoppers interpret stated EDD in multiple markets to provide recommendations for per-market EDD treatments.
  • Carrier Plan Comprehension Study: qualitative study to refine the design of the Fi Plans page with proposed changes to plan structure and inclusion of a data-only SKU.
  • Stretch: Device Protection Consolidation Comprehension Study, usability on how we communicate changes to our device protection programs to customers who are impacted by changes.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior user researchers to design, field, and synthesize the results of research studies that have been prioritized.
  • Ability to lead studies with minimal supervision, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, card sorting, A/B testing, and data analysis.
  • Partner with UX Designers, Writers, Project Management, Engineering, and Marketing to incorporate cross functional feedback into study designs, and to provide actionable feedback in collaboration with these stakeholders.
  • Present research findings, working closely with partners to make product recommendations and documenting team learnings in a clear and concise manner.

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Ability to plan and execute research projects addressing user problems, and ability to translate research findings into actionable design requirements and articulate tradeoffs among alternative solutions.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data sets and derive actionable insights from quantitative research methods
  • Excellent verbal, written, and storytelling communication skills , including communicating research findings in compelling ways to inspire action.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience (2+ years of research experience in industry).
  • Experience with international research, vendor management, ecommerce, and/or phone carriers is a bonus.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $84 to $93 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
