Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with over 5 years of experience in software automation for an onsite role in Cupertino, CA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing and executing automated tests, maintaining testing infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of shipped features. This role requires strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting, along with hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker. Additionally, a collaborative mindset, solid background in various testing methodologies, and familiarity with health-regulated software and digital signal processing are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automation frameworks focused on scalability and reliability, promoting coding best practices.
  • Collaborate with development and quality engineers to test complex health features and provide timely, actionable feedback.
  • Build and maintain robust, scalable testing infrastructure.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Diagnose and debug complex systems, contributing to strategic discussions to prevent future issues.
  • Design logging telemetry to enhance failure triage and gather quality metrics.
  • Participate in and drive post-mortem discussions, ensuring continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Automation Engineer.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
  • Strong background in testing methodologies, including unit, integration, performance, and functional testing.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub.
  • Exceptional collaborative and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic about high-quality, user-focused products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a device lab.
  • Familiarity with configuration management platforms like Ansible.
  • Experience with health-regulated software testing and documentation.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing.

The target compensation for this role ranges from $67.51 to $75.01 per hour, depending on factors such as education, experience, certifications, and location.
