As a Software Engineer in our clients data platform, you will join a dynamic team of engineers, scrum masters, and product owners to envision and deliver innovative, seamless solutions that empower software and data engineers to build streaming solutions. You will play a critical role in designing and building secure, highly scalable, and innovative backend services within a continuous delivery model. This role involves partnering with leads and architects to deliver robust, architecturally sound, easily maintainable, and highly scalable services for various workloads. Additionally, you will assist platform customers in migrating and transitioning to newly built capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a proven software engineer with excellent communication and teamwork skills, possessing the ability to multitask, innovate, and challenge conventional thinking.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software development experience designing, developing, and testing complex solutions in web technologies such as Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, or similar.
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment, particularly with AWS services like S3, Route 53, ELB/ALBs, SQS/SNS.
  • Prior experience in designing and implementing web services.
  • Proficiency in microservice architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services using languages such as Golang or Java.
  • Experience building container applications using Docker.
  • Experience with deploying to Kubernetes, ECS, and Kubernetes operator development is preferred.
  • Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, Red Panda, NiFi, Spark Streaming, Flink, Materialize, RisingWave is a plus.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests; continuous delivery experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $75.00 to $83.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
