We are seeking a skilled WPF Application Developer to join our hardware team and contribute to the development of software for validation and manufacturing testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C# and PowerShell, with experience working on WPF applications built using the PRISM library and MVVM design patterns. This role is on-site in Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain WPF applications using C#, PRISM, and MVVM.
  • Testing: Create and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Debugging: Identify and resolve software defects, working closely with hardware engineers to troubleshoot issues.
  • Device Interaction: Develop code for device provisioning, flashing, genealogy, and data collection.
  • Peripheral Communication: Implement communication with onboard peripherals using protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Third-Party Integration: Encapsulate third-party tools and instruments into the software.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system processes and log relevant data.
  • File Parsing: Parse log and results files for analysis.
  • Instrument Libraries: Work with instrument libraries from vendors like NI and Keysight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and WPF development.
  • Experience with the PRISM library and MVVM design patterns.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Understanding of hardware concepts and debugging techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with device provisioning, flashing, and genealogy.
  • Familiarity with I2C, SPI, and UART protocols.
  • Knowledge of instrument control and automation.
  • Experience with XML-based configuration and data formats.
