UX Designer

Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for a UX Designer in the United States!

This role is 100% remote, however, it is required that to be considered for this role:

• You must live in the United States
• You must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship of any kind at any point during the assignment
• You must be able to showcase your work through case studies and/or an online portfolio.  

Our client is looking for a Senior Visual Designer with a strong UX and visual design background to imagine the next generation of interactive learning experiences for higher education and professional learners. You’ll partner closely with content, product, and engineering teams and be responsible for improving the current experience and will help craft a vision for what learning can become. You will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and persistence. You will take ownership of our product by solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways. Product Designers at our client are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, and each member is directly responsible for the team’s success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and create the visual and interactive design for groundbreaking learning experiences
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout the product development process
• Understand and advocate for user needs
• Define key metrics to track success and business impact
• Maintain clear team alignment around goals and priorities
• Approach an open-ended problem space with vigor and clarity
• Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem
• Guide user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency
• Be data-driven and iteratively improve the experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design and/or HCI related field
• 7+ years of product design experience with an online portfolio of relevant design work
• Skilled in design at the detail and systems level
• A confident communicator who can clearly articulate your process, approach, and rationale to others
• Experience working in a collaborative team comprised of other designers, content strategists, product managers, and developers
• Prior experience defining and implementing user research efforts
• Awareness of design trends across web and mobile devices
• Experience working with design systems
• Experience working in an Agile, lean UX, and mobile-first
• Understanding the relationship between visual, interaction, and content disciplines
• Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
• Design for conversational interfaces (preferred)
• Experience with educational content (preferred)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55.86 to $62.07 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
