In a recent article in U.S. News, Aquent was one of 13 companies—and the only staffing company—noted for offering health insurance to their part-time employees. Medical coverage is still rarely offered to part-time employees, even though it's a valuable workplace benefit, with the average cost of an employer-sponsored family health insurance plan reaching $22,463 in 2022, according to the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation. With more companies utilizing part-time workers, offering health insurance benefits is one way for employers to attract and retain the best part-time talent. In addition to Aquent, Starbucks, UPS, and JPMorgan Chase were listed as companies that extend their coverage to part-time employees. The article notes that even temporary workers can get health benefits if they find a part-time job through Aquent. The company provides health insurance to workers on assignment for less than one year so long as they are working 20 hours a week. In addition, workers have their choice of three plans, and Aquent subsidizes premiums for each hour worked.
