We’re looking for a Marketing Campaign Associate to join the Artist Marketing + Policy team and work closely with the Growth team. The Artist Marketing + Policy team is a cross-functional group of marketers dedicated to helping artists and their teams thrive.
Our product suite has grown from an analytics app for artists into a leading music industry suite of products and services for artists, songwriters, labels, managers, and publishers. We’re looking for a person to help us with owned-channel campaigns set up and with the implementation of growth strategies to build awareness of and engagement with the product suite.
You’ll spend a lot of your time in Braze, building campaigns and canvases in order to engage our users and drive conversion throughout the artist funnel. You’ll work closely with Product Marketing, Growth, and other key cross functional stakeholders to execute large-scale marketing initiatives effectively globally. Ultimately, you’ll be a key part of a team reimagining the way artists and their teams leverage the platform, share their art, and build their careers.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and launch a range of multi-channel, multi-step journeys in Braze, with a heavy emphasis on email.
- Build and QA email templates according to the approved copy/design, using liquid logic & content blocks to personalize campaigns, + coding some templates in HTML/CSS.
- Coordinate with engineering and localizations teams to translate emails for up to 26 languages.
- Monitor effectiveness of all campaigns and regularly raise opportunities for improvement to the wider team.
- Coordinate various aspects of campaigns including targeting query workstreams, working closely with creative and product marketing teams to ensure quality executions and on-brand messaging, respectively.
- Collaborate with Data Science to build and QA audience segments using SQL and BigQuery, and validate them against suppression and exclusion lists before every launch.
- Work cross-functionally to help us improve processes and refine ways of working.
- Work closely with the rest of the Growth Marketing team to inform strategy and tactics across all campaigns, globally.
- Maintain the growth campaign calendar and Asana boards to organize incoming requests and decrease conflicting sends.
- Use Claude to improve various steps of our processes.
- Pull campaign and A/B test results, flag anomalies, and surface opportunities for improvement to the wider team.
Who You Are
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience working within Braze to set up owned-channel campaigns + experience translating sends across multiple languages.
- You have strong attention to detail, ensuring campaigns are accurate, on-brand, and technically sound.
- You have hands-on experience with Liquid, HTML/CSS, and email template QA.
- You have working knowledge of SQL and BigQuery.
- You regularly use Claude, with a human in the loop.
- You have an understanding of growth tactics, strategies, and optimizations and you understand marketing funnels.
- You understand the complex dynamics within the music ecosystem. In a former life, you’ve been an artist or worked closely with creators.
- You’re collaborative by nature and get energy from working on cross-functional teams and bringing people together.
- You demonstrate initiative and independence, including the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and execute projects with minimal supervision.
- You’re a creative problem solver who can identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Top 3 hard and soft skills required for this role:
-
Hard Skills: Braze campaign execution, SQL / BigQuery, Claude and Jira software experience.
- Soft Skills: Cross-functional coordination, Ability to work autonomously, and Capacity to handle high volume of work.
-
- Skills or experience that are nice to have: Experience working directly with artists or creators in the music ecosystem, Liquid logic, HTML/CSS coding, and email template QA experience.
- Strategic Role & Influence: The role manages day-to-day campaign execution, go-to-market launches, and weekly emails to free up growth marketing managers’ bandwidth for driving overarching business goals. Influence is centered on maintaining artist trust and driving product awareness across cross-functional teams.
- Known Obstacles: Short, crunchy timelines, constant resourcing changes, and sudden high-pressure requests such as weekend campaign sends.
- Key Skills to Navigate Challenges: Resilience, strong cross-functional communication, and autonomous problem-solving under pressure.
- Top Priorities & Metrics (Next 6–12 Months): Flawless campaign execution with zero errors, executing product launches, supporting creator development programs, and navigating peak end-of-year campaign seasons.
