About the Role

Step into a pivotal role where your artistic vision and technical prowess will converge to revolutionize visual production. As an integral part of the visual production team, you will be at the intersection of generative AI, photorealistic image creation, and high-end retouching. This is your chance to seamlessly combine AI-generated and photographed assets, crafting finished imagery that adheres to the highest editorial and product standards. You will directly influence the visual identity of campaigns and sourcebooks, pushing creative boundaries and defining new possibilities in luxury visual content.

What You’ll Do

• Build and execute AI image generation and editing workflows for furniture, interiors, and lifestyle imagery using modern generative platforms and node-based AI systems.
• Write and iterate on structured generative prompts across various AI platforms with precision and repeatability, adapting your approach based on each platform’s strengths and behavior.
• Perform high-end retouching on both AI-generated and photographed assets, including precise color correction, compositing, surface correction, material enhancement, and shadow work.
• Seamlessly composite AI-generated elements into photographed environments and vice versa.
• Retouch lifestyle and product photography to meet luxury editorial standards.
• Prepare and deliver print-ready files that meet exacting production and prepress specifications.
• Collaborate closely with creative directors and art directors to maintain visual consistency across all campaigns and sourcebooks.
• Develop and document internal AI prompting protocols and retouching Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You Bring (Must-Have Qualifications)

• Demonstrable experience in high-end photo retouching, with a preference for lifestyle, product, or luxury goods.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools in a production context, including image generation platforms.
• Experience working within node-based AI generation workflows such as Figma Weave or ComfyUI.
• Strong prompting fluency across multiple AI platforms, with a practical understanding of how each model behaves differently and how to structure, iterate, and troubleshoot generative outputs at a production level.
• Expert-level proficiency in Photoshop, including compositing, masking, precise color correction, prepress, and file preparation.
• A genuine understanding of photorealism: lighting, materials, perspective, and what makes an image read as real.
• A compelling portfolio demonstrating both exceptional retouching craft and AI-generated or AI-assisted work.
• The ability to distinguish between what prompting can solve and what requires manual retouching intervention, coupled with the skill to execute both effectively.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with upscaling and enhancement tools (e.g., Magnific, Topaz Photo AI).
• Video and motion generation experience (e.g., Runway, Kling, Veo).
• A strong photography background, including an understanding of lens, light, and capture simulation.
