Aquent, a leading talent solutions partner, is seeking exceptional talent to join one of the world’s most innovative technology companies, renowned for its groundbreaking consumer software experiences. This is an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to products that touch millions of lives globally, shaping the future of intuitive and delightful digital interactions.

About the Opportunity

We are searching for a visionary who thrives at the exciting intersection of design and engineering. As a key contributor, you will bring interaction concepts to life, crafting experiences with the polish, timing, and performance expected of world-class consumer software. This is your chance to make a profound impact, transforming innovative ideas into tangible, interactive realities that set new industry standards. You will be instrumental in elevating the user experience, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital interaction, and seeing your creations deployed on a massive scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement captivating UI and motion for new features, screens, and interactions across a suite of applications.
  • Partner closely with product designers, taking static concepts and evolving them into working, interactive experiences, often owning the entire loop from idea to implementation.
  • Build and maintain robust shared component and motion libraries, ensuring consistent polish and quality across the product ecosystem.
  • Rapidly prototype interaction ideas in code to validate feel and functionality, informing critical engineering investments.
  • Own the “last 10%” – meticulously refining transitions, haptics, edge cases, and accessibility behaviors that elevate a good experience to an exceptional one.
  • Masterfully balance creative ambition with technical constraints, including performance, platform guidelines, device capabilities, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate effectively with feature engineering teams on architecture and integration, clearly communicating scope, timelines, and trade-offs.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 6–10 years of experience building production-ready interfaces, with a strong command of both SwiftUI and UIKit, including seamless interoperability within mature codebases.
  • Expert-level proficiency with animation and gesture APIs across both frameworks: including `withAnimation`, custom `Animatable` conformances, `matchedGeometryEffect`, and transitions in SwiftUI; and `UIViewPropertyAnimator`, `CADisplayLink`, custom transition controllers, and gesture recognizers in UIKit.
  • Fluency with spring and physics-based motion, interruptible animations, and highly responsive, gesture-driven interactions that precisely track user input.
  • Strong design sensibility, capable of translating Figma compositions or ambiguous directions into sound judgment calls on spacing, typography, easing, and hierarchy.
  • Fluent in rapid prototyping to quickly validate feel, whether in Xcode, Figma, or through throwaway code.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted and “vibe coding” workflows to accelerate the journey from idea to working prototype.
  • Deep understanding of the Human Interface Guidelines and platform motion conventions.
  • Strong performance instincts: proficient in profiling with Instruments, hitting frame budgets, and understanding rendering and layout costs.
  • Excellent project management instincts, able to set and consistently meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
  • A compelling portfolio or set of shipped applications demonstrating interaction and animation work you personally built.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Metal or shader programming for custom rendering and visual effects.
  • Proficiency with 3D and RealityKit, including visionOS development.
  • Deep knowledge of Core Animation and Core Graphics for bespoke rendering tasks.
  • A background in motion graphics (e.g., After Effects, Cinema 4D, or similar tools).
  • Accessibility engineering experience, including Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and Reduce Motion.
