Our client is seeking a producer to join their team in subscription gaming services. This role will place you in a highly-energized environment with some of the most hardworking creative individuals in the industry, where you will be inspired to share your experience along with providing extraordinary support for the team. You will also be representing our client to their game development partners.
Description
In this role, you will act as a key producer and creative partner to external game development studios. You will sit at the intersection of game design, production, and product strategy—evaluating developer proposals, providing actionable feedback to improve early-game player experiences, and managing multi-title release schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- External Developer Management (75%): Drive day-to-day production alignment with external studio partners; manage production schedules, track development risks, and support developers through technical and creative submission milestones.
- Game Design & Onboarding Evaluation (40%): Review developer proposals and offer constructive game design feedback—specifically focused on sharpening the first 30 minutes of gameplay, player onboarding, and retention flows.
- Internal Collaboration (25%): Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, QA, Tech Support) to ensure studio partners have the resources needed to launch successful updates.
- Data-Informed Decision Making: Utilize player insights and performance metrics to support design recommendations while maintaining privacy-first standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of game production, project management, or game design experience—with a strong preference for mobile games.
- Hands-on experience working directly with external development studios or in a publishing/partner-management capacity.
- Proven background evaluating game design features, player onboarding flows, or early-game UX.
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple competing priorities across disparate project pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating creative design goals into technical operational steps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mobile free-to-play (F2P) or live-service game development/publishing.
- Background as a Game Designer, Product Manager, or Producer who has owned onboarding/FTUE (First-Time User Experience) initiatives.
- Familiarity with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Jira, Hansoft, Airtable, Excel, Keynote).
- Passionate mobile gamer with a deep understanding of current trends across mobile platforms.
