Start Date:

We are seeking a talented and visually-driven Print Designer to join our team onsite in Elmhurst, Illinois. In this role, you won’t just be resizing layouts or dropping text into templates; you will be the creative force behind high-profile print materials. Your first major initiative will involve conceptualizing and designing standard 8.5x 11 brochures.
This is a contract position. If you have a sharp eye for layout, a passion for tangible media, and a portfolio that proves you can design—not just execute—we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualize & Design: Create compelling, aesthetically pleasing layouts for $8.5 times 11”$ brochures and other print collateral from scratch.
Brand Stewardship: Translate complex information (specifically for State of Illinois initiatives) into clean, engaging, and easy-to-digest visual stories while adhering to brand guidelines.
Typography & Composition: Demonstrate an advanced understanding of page layout, grid systems, type hierarchy, and color theory.
Print Production Prep: Bridge the gap between creativity and technical execution by preparing flawless, press-ready files (managing bleeds, trims, and color profiles).
Collaborate Onsite: Work closely with project stakeholders and copywriters daily to take feedback and iterate quickly.
Required Qualifications
The Creative Edge: A strong portfolio demonstrating true design capability—showing unique concepts, thoughtful layouts, and strong editorial design (not just production-level formatting).
Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign (for multi-page layouts) and Adobe Photoshop (for image editing and compositing).
Education & Experience: 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally with a heavy focus on print media.
Attention to Detail: Absolute precision when it comes to alignment, typography, and proofing design elements.
Logistics & Logistics
Schedule: 100% Onsite, 5 days a week.
