Are you ready to be the strategic force powering a revolution in investment research for our well known Financial Service client? We are seeking a dynamic and highly impactful Scrum Master to drive Agile excellence and delivery processes for multiple high-performing engineering teams.
You will partner with highly-skilled engineering teams and innovative internal clients to build next-generation data products for our retail and institutional investors. Our mission is critical: transforming systematic processes that synthesize complex market, company, and text data into industry-leading products—from equity/fund ratings and thematic investing baskets to cutting-edge asset allocation datasets and educational chart content.
Your central focus will be spearheading our current high-visibility effort to centralize all research data, a massive undertaking aimed at boosting accessibility and unlocking advanced analytics and compute capabilities across the organization. This role is not just about facilitating meetings; it’s about being the strategic “Unblocker-in-Chief” who ensures momentum and clears the path to monumental delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Leading High-Impact Delivery
- Accelerate Delivery: Master and lead all Scrum ceremonies for one or more teams focused on systematic research, pioneering data distribution pipelines, asset allocation models, and sophisticated charting capabilities.
- Cultivate High-Performing Teams: Be the dedicated guardian of team happiness and delivery excellence. You will proactively cultivate a focused, productive, and sustainable environment where our engineering teams flourish and consistently exceed business partner expectations, without risking burnout.
- Strategic Liaison and Risk Navigator: Serve as the crucial bridge between our teams and other enterprise organizations. You will expertly understand, manage, and mitigate cross-organizational dependencies and risks to unblock delivery and champion quality release and platform monitoring practices.
- Drive Scaled Agility: Champion our Scaled Agile Framework by representing one or more teams participating in the high-stakes Investment Research Agile Release Train within the SAM portfolio.
Required Qualifications: Your Blueprint for Success
- Proven Delivery Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in a software delivery role (e.g., former Developer, QA, Project/Product Manager, DevOps, or Scrum Master). We seek deep, practical engagement with the technology delivery lifecycle and the people/process dynamics, rather than a specific technical skillset.
- Agile Authority: Deep familiarity with Agile practices, combined with a crucial, nuanced understanding of the underlying principles that drive true organizational change.
- Master Communicator & Influencer: Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence, demonstrated by an ability to quickly earn trust and effectively influence diverse staff members across various organizational functions and seniority levels.
- Unwavering Bias for Action: A motivated, self-starting mentality, driven by collaborative success and an innate commitment to rapidly overcoming challenges to deliver quality software.
Preferred Qualifications: Amplify Your Impact
- Technical Acumen: Detailed previous experience in a hands-on technical role related to software development.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Proven capability to leverage data for evaluating strategic options and confidently driving critical business decisions.
- FinTech Interest: Experience, exposure, or a keen interest in complex investment research processes and capabilities.
- Enterprise Agility: Experience operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
