Assistant Intimates Designer
Overview
Placement Type:
N/A
Salary:
$33-39 Hourly
Start Date:
May 11, 2026
About the Role
This Assistant Designer will provide critical admin and design support for the Intimates team within the glamour division—the fashion-forward, playful side of the brand. The focus is hands-on production support: coloring CADs, building line sheets, supporting tech packs and style pass-offs, and keeping the design workflow running seamlessly. This is a calendar-support role with potential for extension based on performance and team fit.
About the Team
The Intimates team sits within the broader glamour design division, responsible for the fashion, kinky, and playful side of the brand’s intimates assortment. The team operates at a fast pace, frequently flexing between projects and requests, so adaptability and a collaborative, low-ego attitude are essential. The culture values individuals who are dynamic, passionate, kind, humble, and trustworthy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
•Color CAD bodies with seasonal color and print fills; create custom brushes and print fills in Adobe Illustrator
•Build, maintain, and update InDesign line sheets with accuracy and attention to detail
•Support the design team with tech pack preparation and style pass-off documentation
•Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) entries and PLM system updates
•Organize, steam, and track development samples; ensure timely delivery and handoff to key partners
•Prepare seasonal fabric and color boards, mood boards, and concept presentations
•Conduct trend research and competitor analysis to support design direction
•Assist with custom requests, special projects, and ad hoc design needs as they arise
•Prepare materials for routine and milestone meetings, including line presentation boards and sample coordination
•Partner with Technical Design on fit and execution of prototypes; attend fittings and manage follow-up
•Communicate development details to internal cross-functional partners (Production, Tech, Merchants) and external vendors
Must-Have Qualifications
•Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop — specifically CAD coloring, brush creation, and print fill work
•Experience with tech packs, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PLM systems (Centric a plus)
•Direct experience in lingerie, intimates, or foundational garment design — casual-only experience is a disqualifier
•Understanding of intimates/lingerie construction, proportion, and fit
•Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
•Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
•Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
•Strong CAD skills with a sharp eye for proportion and detail
•Experience creating seasonal color/fabric boards and mood boards
•Familiarity with Centric PLM
•Ability to clearly communicate construction instructions and design intent
•Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume design environment
What Will Stand Out in a Candidate
•Portfolio examples of CAD work demonstrating strong coloring, proportion, and construction knowledge
•Ability to walk through a tech pack and articulate understanding of garment construction during an interview
•Bill of Materials experience and ability to demonstrate BOM fluency
•Self-starter energy with a track record of working independently while remaining collaborative
•Dynamic personality with a kind, humble, and team-first approach
Interview Process
Candidates should be prepared to present a portfolio that includes examples of CAD work, tech pack samples, and demonstrated understanding of garment construction. The hiring manager will also assess BOM fluency and overall communication/presentation skills during the interview.
Disqualifiers
