This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.
Pay Range: C$51/hr – C$63/hr​

In this pivotal role, you will directly influence the artistic vision of our projects, bringing characters and creatures to life with your expertise and contributing essential assets to our game animation pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with leadership to create rigged assets that adhere to technical guidelines for target platforms and game engines.
• Seek and integrate feedback from peers and art leads to refine and enhance rigged assets.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues with rigged assets, ensuring optimal performance across various platforms.
• Actively participate in team meetings, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Consistently meet project deadlines and milestones, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
• Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows to support continuous improvement.
• Contribute positively and creatively to the team environment, inspiring innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Must-Have:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a rigger or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing industry-standard rigging skills, reflecting a high level of artistry and technical proficiency.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard 3D animation software.
  • In-depth knowledge of human and animal anatomy.
  • Demonstrated clean and efficient smooth skinning practices.
  • A genuine passion for the interactive entertainment industry and an understanding of current trends and technologies.
  • Proactive work ethic, capable of solving complex problems and embracing significant challenges.
  • Preparedness to learn and adapt to in-studio workflows and proprietary tools.
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with modern game engines.
  • Scripting knowledge.
  • Experience with advanced animation software.
  • Knowledge of cloth or simulation techniques.
