This is a hybrid position (3x onsite a week) in Vancouver, BC. It will start as a 12 month contract with possible extension up to 18 months.

As a key contributor to our Development Support team, you’ll act as a critical bridge between development and quality assurance, ensuring the seamless functionality and exceptional quality of our next-generation projects. Your work will directly influence the user experience, making a tangible impact on highly anticipated releases and contributing to a legacy of excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Provide essential early-stage testing and feedback directly to development teams.
- Craft comprehensive documentation, including detailed test cases and insightful test briefs.
- Serve as the primary liaison, fielding design questions from core QA and providing crucial status updates to development teams.
- Offer valuable insights to QA Leads on the overall health and progress of features and specific areas.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to adapt and refine testing requirements as projects evolve.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience across multiple development cycles, with a strong focus on comprehensive platform testing.
- Deep understanding of hardware compatibility, ensuring seamless game functionality across various console generations and PC configurations.
- Expertise in crash investigation and reproduction, adept at isolating root causes across diverse hardware and software setups.
- Familiarity with operating system and firmware compliance, including updates and security patches.
- Proficiency in performance testing, evaluating frame rates, resolution, input latency, and loading times.
- Experience with thorough input and controller testing for a wide range of devices.
- Knowledge of online and network features testing, including cross-platform multiplayer, matchmaking, and cloud saves.
- Skills in storage and installation testing, covering game installation, uninstallation, updates, and data handling.
- Understanding of UI and display compatibility, including resolution scaling, aspect ratios, HDR support, and accessibility options.
- Experience with save data and progression testing, ensuring proper functionality across platforms, including cross-save and cloud synchronization.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise testing instructions and briefs.
- Experience in accurately estimating testing efforts.
- A strong desire to learn new technologies and continuously refine your skills.
- Exceptional documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable and effective when interfacing with QA and Production teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with a leading game engine.
- Knowledge of testing DRM, anti-cheat, and data security measures.
- Experience collaborating with engine and rendering teams.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, Perforce, and SharePoint.
- Strong adaptable teaching skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse learners.
