We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced video editor to join our growing team. In this fast-paced, remote role, you’ll be responsible for taking our training content from script to screen, using your expertise in FCPX and Adobe Creative Suite to bring our vision to life.

  • This role is 40 hours per week until the end of March and freelance / project to project from there.
  • Talent will be working remotely, EST hours, and must be based in Canada
  • Talent must provide their own laptop and Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Creative Suite

This project will include:

  • They will be working on video training that will be a part of the larger training module. 
  • Videos will include broll, graphics, text on screen. 
  • Client is one of the most known brands in Canada. 
  • They will follow a brand style guide. Timelines are tight, and communication with the team is a must throughout. 

Responsibilities:

  • Edit video content using Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), with a strong emphasis on creating high-quality motion graphics.
  • Collaborate closely with scriptwriters and other team members to understand the content and ensure a clear and engaging narrative.
  • Utilize Adobe Photoshop (PS) and Illustrator (AI) for graphic design and creation of visual elements.
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest video editing trends and software advancements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a video editor, with a proven track record of creating compelling training content.
  • An absolute mastery of FCPX, including advanced editing techniques and motion graphics creation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, for graphic design and asset creation.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual storytelling principles.
  • The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A self-starter with a "hop in and go-to; mentality, requiring minimal onboarding.

Bonus Points: Experience with After Effects or similar motion graphics software. A portfolio showcasing your video editing skills and ability to create engaging training content (link to your portfolio a plus).
