FREELANCE - Sport Product Servicing

Overview

On behalf of a Sport Company, we are looking for a freelancer for a full time mission (90% remote) for one year for a role in the Global Athlete Bike & Climb team.

Role purpose and scope

• The role supports a strategic rollout plan for product servicing (outbound and activation) to ensure on-time-in-full (OTIF) product delivery to athletes, especially for mountain biking, climbing and mountaineering.
• Emphasis on matching products to athlete needs (e.g., high-alpine shoes vs. flat-pedal mountain bike shoes) and contractual partner compliance.

Core responsibilities and day-to-day

• End-to-end product servicing and delivery tracking: oversee products from warehouse to athlete doorstep, chase shipments, find tracking information, and report status to the manager.
• Maintain a living tracking document (Excel/Google Sheet) that records which athlete has received which products and current shipment status.
• Prepare a season-start overview of warehouse inventory and packages to be distributed to athletes.

Required skills and background

• Core skills: Ability to manage workflows and own end-to-end processes.
• Experience: minimum preferred 1 year of relevant experience; ideal candidate has prior project or sports-marketing exposure but not strictly necessary.
• Background in logistics/shipping is a plus but not required; primary focus is servicing and tracking rather than deep shipping operations.
• Candidate traits: self-starter able to take ownership when assigned tasks by the manager, able to work autonomously with regular check-ins and deliver outcomes rather than prescriptive supervision.
