Aquent is partnering with a major Canadian retail organization with a large-scale, multi-brand marketing ecosystem to help identify an experienced Business Process Consultant who can bring structure, clarity, and operational efficiency to complex marketing workflows.
This is a unique contract opportunity to work inside a highly collaborative marketing organization undergoing structural evolution, where you’ll play a critical role in documenting, redesigning, and improving how core marketing and promotional processes function across teams.
What You Will Do
Lead Current-State Process Discovery
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workflow discovery sessions across marketing, promotions, campaign, and cross-functional teams
- Observe and document how marketing work currently gets done across key functions
- Map existing workflows, dependencies, bottlenecks, and operational gaps
Build Formal Process Documentation

Create clear, practical documentation including:
- Process maps
- SOPs
- Governance frameworks
- Workflow diagrams
- RACI structures
- Operational playbooks
Re-Engineer Broken or Inefficient Processes
- Identify workflow inefficiencies caused by structural changes, unclear ownership, or resource constraints
- Redesign processes to improve scalability, accountability, and execution quality
- Prioritize high-impact areas, particularly promotions and campaign operations
Improve Governance & Accountability
- Define clearer roles, responsibilities, and decision-making frameworks
- Build repeatable systems that improve coordination across teams
- Support operational clarity in resource-constrained environments
Drive Change Adoption
- Help teams understand and implement new processes
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders
- Create systems teams can realistically adopt and sustain
What You Will Bring
Required Experience
- Significant experience in business process consulting, operational excellence, workflow engineering, or process transformation
- Proven ability to map, document, and redesign end-to-end business processes
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and process discovery sessions
- Expertise building:
- Process maps
- SOPs
- RACIs
- Governance models
- Experience improving workflows in complex, cross-functional organizations
- Strong facilitation, communication, and change enablement skills
- Ability to balance strategic process design with practical implementation
- Comfortable working on-site to directly observe workflows and build trust

- Workfront
- Consulting experience in large enterprise environments

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40 to $50/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
